Burlap, pretty ribbon, hot glue gun, and DIY–yes, please! I am a D-I-Y girl at heart, so this day was right down my alley. If you are looking for ways to shave off some costs from your wedding budget, I would suggest a wedding DIY project for at least a few things. Speaking of wedding DIY projects, I just remembered two DIY-ers that I love “via the interweb”, and their backyard wedding all decked out with countless wedding DIY projects all done fabulously.
I pinned this wedding DIY project on my Pinterest board for this very day just for you. This wedding DIY project would be perfect for favors for your reception guests, bridesmaid’s gifts, or even as cute favors for attendees at your bridal shower-not that you would be planning that:) All you need is burlap, some cute ribbon, cute tags, and a hot glue gun (to attach your cute tags). The first bag that I made, I hole punched the tag and threaded it through the ribbon. However, I wanted my tag to lay flat, so I brought out my trusty glue gun–works every time. After cutting out the squares for the bag, and completing a quick test, it only took me 20 minutes to sew four of this cute little wedding favor bags and add the embellishments. If you don’t like burlap, you could always use a pretty fabric.
Here is my D-I-Y version of a Burlap Party Favor as seen on Pinterest
