Today, I’m excited to share a sneak peek from Marlice and Delasie’s Arnold Arboretum engagement photos. They are college sweethearts and getting married this November!

This was my first time making Arnold Arboretum engagement photos, and I must say that the gorgeous light at sunset, flowers, and off the beaten path pockets has made it a recommendation on my list of places to shoot.

Delasie and I had some time to chat about his excitement about all things pictures before Marlice arrived. I assured him that we’d have a fun time and that it was going to be a relaxed time just as they wanted.

As we started along the path in route to the rose garden area, a story was shared of one of their earlier dates at Arnold Arboretum. There were many laughs about Marlice’s college freshman attire which included a Miley Cyrus t-shirt and two pig tails. To her defense, she was 19 at the time, Miley Cyrus was cool, and Marlice was all about her school books.

Behind that beautiful smile is a girl who knows a thing or two about science. In fact, they were both science majors and in similar careers.

Not only is Delasie as a science guy, but in his words, he enjoys “dabbling” in food. Marlice would chime in and say that he more than dabbles and I would agree. Anyone who knows how to blend the taste of apples, blueberries, and lavender into a delicious pie certainly knows how to more than dabble. Yum-O!!

Can you say, you cook and I will clean the dishes?!

Their session was casual, fun, and light-hearted. Delasie said that he didn’t have any dance moves, but I loved their dance pose frames that were true laugh out loud moments. They know how to have fun together and Marlice knows how to pull out those lovable smiles from Delasie. I can not wait for their wedding in November to witness these two college sweethearts saying I do!! Congratulations, Marlice and Delasie!
