I hope your Wednesday is off to a fabulous start! It’s a beautiful, sunny day from my window, and I hope that today’s Wedding Wednesday post will bring even more sunshine to your face like it is to mine.

Two weeks ago, I met Diddy and he stole my heart. Oh, I’m sorry, not P. Diddy but a close second haha.

Diddy belongs to Jen and Kyle and I got to meet him last week at their engagement session.

Now, they told me that he was going to be a handful and that he would cry when they left him with me to change into a different outfit.

I think they were talking about another pup because Diddy was on his best behavior.

Over the past year, I’ve met some of the cutest furry friends that have added more smiles to engagement photos. Friends like Bailey, Rika, Luna and now Diddy.

If you’re wondering whether or not to include your pup in your engagement photos, here are five tips to include your dog.

5 Tips to Include Your Dog in Engagement Photos

1. Make sure that the location you’re considering for photos allows dogs. Chloe and Pete’s engagement session was at Newport Beach, but their sweet pup was only included in photos at the Cliff walk where dogs were permitted. Speaking of locations, consider how long the car ride will be for your dog. If they don’t enjoy car rides, a different location should be considered.
2. Have a friend come along so that you have an extra set of hands, and someone to keep them company while you’re having pictures of just the two of you.
3. Start the session with your dog. We can get pictures of the three of you completed first, and your pup might be on their best behavior at the beginning of the session and not waiting an hour.
4. Don’t forget treats and baggies for cleanup.
5. Props are welcomed 🙂 Bring a fun sign for your pup to wear and maybe use that photo for your Save-the-Dates!
