“WHAT SHOULD I WEAR FOR MY PERSONAL BRAND PHOTOSHOOT?”
That’s a question I get from just about every brand photography client I work with.
And I get it. Not knowing what to wear can be a huge barrier for entrepreneurs looking to plan a photo shoot. You want to wear clothes that make you look great AND also look great on camera.
Unfortunately, we can’t all have a personal stylist to dress us or a personal shopper to find all those perfectly fitting items.
But you’re not in this alone!
I love helping my clients style their personal brand photoshoots, and it’s actually one of the things that are included with every session that I offer.
Here are a few things to consider when you’re deciding what to wear for your personal brand photoshoot:
1) First things first, let’s talk about your brand messages, style, and your dream client. How do you want to show up? Are you going for polished and professional, or business casual? Yoga pants and a cozy sweatshirt? Knowing how you want to show up and what your dream clients are looking for will guide your outfit choices and help you put a plan together for what to wear.
2) Do you want a variety of styles, so that you can write captions for social media and have the photos to match?
3) What’s going on in your business this quarter? Anything special that you want specific photos or styles for? Thinking about this will guide your choices in wardrobe selection for the photos that you need.
4) Are you choosing to set designs at the studio and adding in your own accessories to make it specific to your brand? Or are you shooting at different locations? You’ll want to prepare a wardrobe that also makes sense for where and when you’re being photographed.
Are you ready to get your personal brand photoshoot rolling?
