I had the honor of photographing Anais and Jamaal’s beautiful Kirkbrae Country Club Wedding on Friday.  I have known Anais and her family since the beginning of my photography journey, and when I found out that she and Jamaal were engaged I joined everyone else in the excitement for these two very special people.  It’s hard not to be around them and smile, and laugh, and smile, and laugh.  We had a blast at their engagement session, and I knew that their wedding day was going to be even more special. They both have big hearts, contagious smiles, and they are an absolute joy to be around.  They are dearly loved by their family and friends, and there was so much joy all over the place on Friday.  We started the day with the gorgeous bride getting ready with her mom, bridesmaids, sisters, and close friends.  What a sweet family, and the authentic moments between them were priceless.  Anais mentioned that she wanted the love moments captured, and the day was full of them.

One of her sisters had an amazing idea for their first look which I said yes, yes, and yes to!  The bride and groom each wrote letters, exchanged them and read them back to back at their first look before turning around to see each other for the first time.  The day was indeed full of moments, and their first look was breathtaking. We had some time for bride and groom portraits in the bridal garden at Kirkbrae, and then we added in some more fun with the wedding party.  Not only did they look good wearing navy and muted golds, but everyone was so genuinely happy for Anais and Jamaal and it shows in every single photo.  The ceremony was one of the most beautiful that I have witnessed and was full of love moments and laughter as well.

Their beautiful day ended with words of encouragement in each toast at their reception, a newlywed game that had everyone laughing out loud, and lots of dancing to celebrate this amazing couple.  Anais and Jamaal, thank you so much for the opportunity to be a part of your day!!!  It was a pleasure to be with you, your families, and friends. Here are a few favorites from their day.
