It was a beautiful, fall afternoon in Boston for Laura and Nick’s Charles River engagement pictures. Octobers are stunning in New England, and is the perfect time for engagement pictures especially if you like to cuddle. Laura and Nick kept each other warm as we strolled along the river capturing beautiful moments of the two of them together. Warm, friendly, caring, and down to earth are all words that come to mind when I think of this couple. They are also sweet, sweet people, and I love that they were able to focus on each other as the park was filled with others enjoying this fall day. They laughed a lot, cuddled a lot, and just had a great time together. I enjoy photographing engagement pictures because it is an opportunity to take a break from wedding planning, focus on your relationship and marriage to soon come, and it allows an opportunity to become comfortable with your wedding photographer.
While I do photograph couples looking at the camera for possible save the dates and wedding announcements, I love photographing them look at one another. There’s something about seeing how much you love one another through the simple action of just looking at each other.
So many emotions in this image!!
The sun was peeking in and out throughout our time together, but I’m so happy they waited for the sun to come back out for this capture. The inhale and exhale of this moment with the glow of the sun depicts a timeless pause that tells so much about the love that they have for one another. The light could not have been more perfect!
The October sunset was equally beautiful, and this silhouette of Laura and Nick is one of my absolute favorites. I’m beyond thrilled to photograph their Zukas Hilltop Barn Wedding next summer.
