It was an honor to photograph Ashley and Justin’s Langham Boston wedding photos this past weekend.  Enjoy more about their story and a few favorites from their day…

Ashley said yes November 2015 when Justin asked her to be his wife. Their paths would unexpectedly cross while Ashley was attending college in Maryland. She’s a Red Sox fan and he cheers for his home team the Ravens. Justin keeps her laughing and loves her dearly.

As Ashley’s maid of honor stood to give her speech, it was hard for her to fight back tears of joy as she talked about her best friend since middle school and the love that she and Justin share.

Their intimate wedding day was especially sweet as the day before Ashley’s grandfather suffered an injury to his ankle.  He was determined to walk his granddaughter down the aisle, along with her dad, and not miss her wedding day.

During the offseason, Ashley and Justin made a wedding planning trip to Boston to work through some details for their day. We met for dinner and had a great time chatting about life, their wedding plans, their cats Ringo and Lennon, and that one meal that Ashley cooked that I believe was a meatloaf but smelled like hot dogs. Too funny!!

Langham Boston Wedding Photos

The day started with the bride and groom getting ready at the AC Boston North.

 

Ashley wore a beautiful Allure Bridals wedding gown and her bouquet was adorned with a photo in memory of her mom.

The Langham Boston is located in the heart of Boston, Massachusetts.  Across the street from the Langham, is Post Office Square Park and this is where we headed following the ceremony for family photos, wedding party pictures, and pictures of the bride and groom.

The light here filters through this beautiful walkway and the natural reflector of the sidewalk is perfect for pictures.

 

We thought the rain showers had passed our way, but it started to sprinkle again just as we started just married pictures of the bride and groom.  We had already planned to end their portrait time together in their gorgeous reception room at the Langham, so we just went inside earlier than expected.

I knew that I wanted to capture the ambiance in the lighting of their intimate reception, so I used a MagMod sphere mounted to a monopod that my assistant held to camera right to keep the mood of their Langham Boston wedding photos.

Ashley and Justin entered the reception ready to have a good time with their family and friends and Meritage Entertainment did a fantastic job in helping them do just that.

Instead of going straight into their first dance, they decided to invite everyone out onto the dance floor to get the party started.

The maid of honor was the best!  She fought back tears and had everyone smiling and laughing.

Before the night ended, we headed outside for a sweet sparkler exit and celebration with their bridal party. Such a fun night!
