If you love all things classic and elegant you’re going to love Rebecca and Zach’s Connors Center wedding day and story! You can’t help but smile when you see them two of them together and to hear their best friends and family talk about them made me smile even more.
Rebecca and Zach have been together since college. Go Wolverines! The two would meet by way of their best friends, the maid of honor and best man, and they take full credit for their amazing relationship.
After graduating college, they dated long distance for two years, but their commitment to one another, strong friendship and Facetime kept their relationship strong.
They love to hike and they share a European connection as Rebecca’s family is from Germany and Zach grew up in Europe.
When Zach asked Rebecca to marry him, they were doing what they love and they were with the people that they love. It was an incredibly special time because they were visiting family in Luxembourg and were able to share their engagement with them.
Their Connors Center wedding day began with the entire bridal getting ready at the venue. The event planner, Patricia of Prepped and Primped, did an excellent job handling all of the details of their day and Jean and Sue, coordinators at the Connors Center were fantastic.
One of many beautiful moments of their day, and referenced again at their reception, were words from their wedding ceremony to remind them that their marriage resembles an arch that leans in to form the shape that can not stand alone. They were encouraged to lean into and lean on each other in their marriage journey.
After they walked hand in hand back down the aisle as husband and wife, they had some time together as family and friends gathered on the church steps with streamers to cheer them on as they “cut the log”. Cutting the log on your wedding day is a German tradition that represents the first obstacle that a newly married couple must work through and overcome together.
What a wonderful tradition! Love!!
Rebecca and Zach, I am truly thankful and honored to have been part of your wedding day! It has been a pleasure getting to know you both better. I will never forget our first time meeting on that blustery day at Tatte!! You have such a solid foundation as you have loved well and persevered through many highs and lows. I will continue to cheer you on just as your family and friends. Have an amazing time in Bora Bora!! xo, Shawon
