It’s Tuesday, and I’m excited to share a few heartwarming moments from Melissa and Sean’s Hale Reservation wedding photos this past weekend.
This was my first time photographing at Hale Reservation, but when I arrived, my mind immediately went back to their beautiful engagement session and their love for nature and the great outdoors.
Hale Reservation is set in Westwood, MA with over a thousand acres of woods, trails galore and beautiful ponds sure to make any nature lover’s heart happy.
Melissa and Sean’s day was a combination of nature, whimsy, romance, and fun which was the perfect fit for these college sweethearts and what they envisioned for their wedding.
They shared outbursts of laughter as stories were recounted of them meeting during their ceremony.
The rain could not stop the joy and celebration, and the day was made even sweeter when Bailey, their sweet Chesapeake Bay Retriever, arrived shortly after their magical first look.
Because of the rain, I had scouted out a safe spot for their first look just in front of the getting ready location. In case the skies completely opened up, I wanted to ensure that we could get back inside right away.
However, Sean told me about another spot that Melissa had her heart set on, and being the adventurous couple that they are, they decided to go for it and embrace the day.
Don’t stop reading now, but a few scrolls below you will see how magical this location was. Up a small path, tucked between trees was a gorgeous stone building and in the moments of their first look the clouds were lifted away and only light was shining through.
They embraced the day and they wanted their family and friends to be present with them. I love that they decided to have an unplugged ceremony so that everyone could smile, laugh, and be in the moment with them during their ceremony.
As they walked down the aisle, everyone was able to be present with them once again as sweet snips of lavender were thrown in celebration of the lovely couple.
Their Hale Reservation wedding photos are magical in every sense. They are each other’s inspiration and I could see that as I snapped each frame.
Melissa and Sean, it was truly an honor to be part of your day! I’m so happy that our paths crossed, and please give Tase a big hug for being an essential part of that happening. It has been wonderful getting to know you both and let me not forget Bailey!! xo, Shawon
