Heritage Museums and Gardens Wedding

I’m delighted to start this Tuesday with beautiful moments from Alyssa and Dave’s Heritage Museums and Gardens wedding this past weekend. Heritage Museums and Gardens is located on Cape Cod in Sandwich, MA. It was only fitting that this gorgeous venue would be perfect for them as Dave grew up nearby and Alyssa and her family spent their summers at the Cape.

I shared their love story last fall with their engagement session photos, but here it is again because who doesn’t love a good love story and theirs is a good one!

Their Love Story

Alyssa and Dave met two years ago for dinner at what has now become their favorite restaurant hands-down, Barcelona!

That dinner date lasted five and a half hours with never an awkward silence between them. They both left knowing that they were meant to be.

Alyssa said she told her mom, yup, I’m marrying him!

I think we can call that love at first sight, but for them, it would have been married at first sight, but they didn’t want to scare their families.

When I asked them how did they both leave their first date knowing that they’d found the one, Dave described it has inexplicable and that is what makes their love story even more special!

Their love story was shared in each of the toasts given by the best man, maid of honor, and from Alyssa’s dad which was incredibly heartwarming.

Not only did he share sweet stories about his beautiful daughter growing up and a few jokes about a possible BC vs. BU rivalry, but before ending his speech fighting back tears, he also shared that Dave asked him for his daughter’s hand in marriage before proposing last December.

They had the best day on Saturday and the gardens were absolutely stunning and only complementary to such an amazing couple.

Before the Ceremony

We started the day with the wedding party getting ready at a nearby Air BnB. Everyone was excited, upbeat, sharing toasts, and looking forward to a lovely day ahead.

The first look and wedding party photos were before the ceremony, and Alyssa had some surprises planned for Dave. The first of which left him speechless and having to compose himself to see his beautiful bride before their first look.

The second surprise happened after the ceremony as they shared a moment of him seeing the engraving of his wedding ban. I love you so much, I love you so much were the words that he repeated to her over and over as they exchanged the most loving embrace.

Every single detail of their day was thoughtful, filled with their personalities, and they even included their love for travel and all of the places that they’ve traveled together with acrylic calligraphy signs on the reception tables.

The moments, the love, the laughter, family and friends together and celebrating made for a day that I hope they will relive and feel always.

Alyssa and Dave, I am so excited for you two teammates!! It has been a joy getting to know you, opening your emails and always smiling, and what an honor to be with you on your wedding day. Enjoy your honeymoon in Europe, and I will be cheering for you as you start your new journey across the country!
