I still remember the first time I gave myself permission to step away.

It was a quiet week in December, years ago. I had booked a last-minute room at a cozy inn in Newport, Rhode Island—not for a family trip, not for a client meeting, but just for me.

I told myself it was a time to “get ahead” on business planning. My to-do list was long, and I planned to power through it.

And yes, I was productive.
I wrote 12 blog posts. I mapped out the next year. I checked boxes like a pro.

But in between the doing… something unexpected happened.

The Quiet That Changes Everything

Stillness crept in.

With no one else to tend to, and no noise to manage, I finally heard my own thoughts again. That time away didn’t just give me a plan—it gave me back my perspective.

That simple pause planted the seed for what would become a foundational routine in my business. Quarterly solo, business retreats.

How Retreats Became My Reset

Since that first time away, retreats have become a regular part of my business—not a luxury, but a lifeline.

Every time I step away, I return more focused, more grounded, and more connected to the kind of business—and life—I truly want to build.

That’s why I created Gather & Ground: A Retreat for Women in Business.

The Site Visit That Brought It Full Circle

Just yesterday, I visited the venue where we’ll gather this fall.
The beautiful Stage Neck Inn in York, Maine, sits right at the edge of the ocean—and I haven’t stopped thinking about it since.

As I walked the grounds, stood in the rooms we’ll use, and looked out at the sea, I imagined you there.

I thought about what it would feel like to finally pause.

To step outside of the pressure.
To reconnect with your voice.
To reset with intention.

Who This Retreat Is For

This experience is designed for women entrepreneurs who are doing so much for everyone else—and ready to take a moment for themselves.

It’s not about escaping your life.
It’s about returning to it with renewed energy, fresh clarity, and a clear vision for what’s next.

Whether you’re a coach, designer, therapist, photographer, or creative business owner—
Whether you’re growing or pivoting—
Whether you feel clear or quietly scattered—

Gather & Ground was made with you in mind.

What to Expect at Gather & Ground

Here’s a glimpse of how our time together will unfold:

  • Two and a half days of reflection, clarity, and connection

  • Retreat sessions designed for grounded visioning and focused strategy

  • Time for journaling, walking the beach, or simply thinking

  • Evenings spent in real conversation with women who understand your world

  • Space to map out your next chapter—without noise, pressure, or distraction

  • A plan that feels spacious, not rushed

Each part of the retreat is intentional.
Everything is designed to give you space to breathe, reflect, and lead again—from a place of alignment.
