I’m so excited to share Lauren and Dave’s beautiful at The Cape Club wedding that happened ten days ago. Yes, today is the official 10 day anniversary for these two, and I look forward to them celebrating their 10 year anniversary and beyond. I’m so thankful that their day was filled with sunshine and occasional clouds as Hurricane Hermine was in the periphery of the forecast. The day could not have been more beautiful for their at the Cape Club wedding in Falmouth, Massachusetts. Lauren and Dave wanted a simple, nice day that was all about them celebrating with their family and closest friends. Love was definitely in the air when they met at a baseball tavern near Fenway Park. They exchanged phone numbers, and the rest is history. It’s been a big year for these two as they both turned 30, and these best friends are now married!!
The Cape Club was recently renovated, and it is one of the prettiest venues for brides and grooms looking for a wedding venue at the Cape. Natural light flows through the entire ballroom, and the beautiful chandeliers provided such a warm atmosphere for dinner. Cocktail hour was held in a room nearby, and there is also another dining room that can be used for a ceremony space. Ami Milano and her team did a fantastic job coordinating the day. She was a delight to work with!!
The day started with the wedding party getting ready at The Sea Crest Hotel not far from the wedding venue. I have to mention that there was a hair room, a makeup room, and final prep room all for the ladies. This is a brilliant idea especially if there isn’t one huge bridal suite for getting ready.
Lauren and Dave chose to have a first look before the ceremony, and they were able to join cocktail and spend time with their guests. We also took all of the family and bridal party photos before the ceremony which meant everyone could head to cocktail hour following the ceremony.
Here are a few favorites and more about their day!
The Cape Club Wedding Photos
The bride’s parents have been married for 38 years! Her mom wanted to pass on a tradition of dad dropping a penny in the bride’s shoe on her wedding day. Her mom actually had her shoes from a wedding day with the same penny taped inside.
I love having some time for a few bridal portraits before the ceremony. Lauren was absolutely radiant, and the smile on her face says so much about this sweet lady!
The light was beautiful during their first look. When I saw this hill, I knew immediately that I wanted to make a silhouette of them against the blue sky.
Raspberry definitely says summer wedding, and the bridesmaids gowns were quite lovely. Love the smiles on these faces.
I promise to make the guys look cool, and I think this image does just that.
After the ceremony, we took a few quick bride and groom portraits at the start of golden hour.
Congratulations, Lauren and Dave!! Thank you so much for the honor to photograph your wedding day!!
