Today, I’m excitedly sharing a sneak peek from Amy and Dan’s Union Square engagement photos. Read more about their story, some of the things that they love, and enjoy a few favorites from their engagement session.

Couples add their personalities in many ways to their engagement session. It could be in what they wear, bringing along some fun props, including their pup, or in Amy and Dan’s case hanging out in your favorite neighborhood, Union Square. Not only is it their favorite neighborhood, but it’s a place where they shared their first date and continue to enjoy spending time together.

After a week or two of silence between their first interactions with each other, they decided to go out for their first date. Dan is super easy going, and I don’t think he wanted Amy to know exactly how much he liked her, (totally my words here-haha), so he decided to ask her out for a second date to a Monster Truck Show happening the same weekend as Valentine’s Day and Winter Storm Neptune. She declined because snow and Valentine’s Day. I think it was the snow.

As the saying goes, third time’s the charm, and I’m moved to believe that Dan pulled out all the charm on their third date! They had a great time together, and now these two are getting married in September!

We had the most fun strolling around the city of Somerville for their Union Square engagement photos.

What do they love? Well, they love barbecue and their two cats Franklin and Eleanor. There were no barbecue encounters during our time, but we did happen upon the cutest cat and sweet pup.

We started their Union Square engagement photos at beautiful Prospect Hill Park with magical light, and then we headed down the hill to discover neat spaces and pockets of more beautiful light. They also love making these discoveries on the weekend, so I’m happy that we were able to include some discovery for their engagement session as well.
