Today, I’m thrilled to share a sneak peek from Melissa and Sean’s engagement photos at Borderland State Park. Read more about their story, some of the things that they love, and enjoy a few favorites from their engagement session.

Melissa and Sean met during their first year of college.  They were both working on the set of the play, Cabaret.  

Sean proposed twice to his college sweetheart, and the second time, she said, YES!

In Melissa’s defense, the first time around, she was sick and not feeling well.  But, one week later, Sean asked again and the rest is history.

Their engagement photos at Borderland State Park were a kick off to the vision of their wedding day centered around nature, whimsy, and fun.

They will have a nice mix of images to display in their home that showcases their love for the great outdoors.

I’m so glad that they included their sweet pup, Bailey in their engagement photos at Borderland State Park.  She’s a beautiful Chesapeake Bay Retriever and has the sweetest brown eyes.

I’m voting for Melissa, Sean, and Bailey to grace the cover of a magazine.  Although we were in Easton, MA  their engagement photos at Borderland State Park could easily be a cover for readers of Better Homes and Gardens, Southern Living, or The Magnolia Journal.  I just wanted to put that out there to a few of my favorite magazines.  

What do they love?  Well, they love their dog Bailey, outdoors and nature and spending time together. I think bar-b-que might be on their list as well!

We met one week ago for their engagement shoot and had a fun time together!  Borderland has been a favorite lately for many of my couples.  There are so many pockets and paths to discover.  The tree-lined paths, views of the water, and the cute little house that you’ll see below add a ton of variety.  My mind rolls with new ideas each time I shoot here to fit the different personalities and styles of my couples.  

Melissa and Sean, you are wonderfully lovely together, and I am so excited for you and look forward to your wedding day in September!! Yay!!
