If you love fall in New England, you’re going to love Val and Rick’s fall wedding at Lake Pearl located in Wrentham, MA this past weekend.
It was hard to choose a few favorites to share because I want to share them all. But first a little about their story and how their special day unfolded.
If you saw their engagement session blog, you might recall their story and if not, here it goes again.
Their story began in a conference room. Yes, a conference room. In a conference room is where they first met. That makes me smile.
Rick was part of an interview team, and guess who he got to interview. Val said that it was the longest interview ever:)
They would become friends and remained friends for more than two years before they started dating.
While dating, one of their favorite places was Block Island.
Last summer Rick proposed at their favorite place.
Their beautiful fall wedding at Lake Pearl on Saturday was heartwarming, filled with laughter and love.
It was a perfect New England fall day. The glistening waters on the lake would be the backdrop for the wedding ceremony which was held in the boathouse.
The boathouse was perfect to both keep their guests warm and to get married in such a beautiful setting just off the beach.
I love that her dad gave her away with a story that made everyone laugh.
More laughter came as they both shared loving words and snippets of stories weaved throughout their relationship.
Only a smile can come across your face when you’re around these two and see them together.
And the smiles on their faces after walking through the boathouse after they said I do are indelible.
After the ceremony, we got everyone together for family photos and wedding party photos.
And speaking of the wedding party. I loved the bridesmaids Azazie dresses styled with blush pashmina scarfs. I’d say that burgundy is a perfect color for a fall wedding, and there were also soft pinks, greys, and greens blended in as well throughout the wedding party attire and the florals designed by Judy’s Village Flowers.
Although they had a morning wedding, the reception ballroom’s decor felt so warm and welcoming and the candles twinkling at each table made it even more so.
Practice makes perfect, and that means their first dance was amazing!
We were able to go back outside with just the two of them for some afternoon sun and photos at the beach, the dock, and enjoy some of the manicured lawns. Get ready to smile a lot. Don’t say I didn’t warn you.
Val and Rick, it was such an honor to be part of your wedding day. I still can’t believe that last fall we were preparing for your engagement photos and now you are married! The time flew by, and it was a joy getting to know you both. I’m so happy for you two, and I hope that you have a fabulous time honeymooning. xo, Shawon
