This past Friday could not have been more perfect for Stacy and Nathan’s Gardens at Elm Bank spring wedding. Although we’ve had an on again, off again New England spring, the gardens were beaming for their day.
Stacy and Nathan are kind, thoughtful, warm, gentle and loving in every way. These words about them are not just my own and what I experienced getting to know them over the last ten or so months but shared with everyone that was with them on their wedding day.
Have you seen the movie “Sabrina?” It’s an oldie but goodie romantic-comedy. I won’t give away any spoilers, but the movie opens with the most beautiful dinner party.
Stacy was inspired to infuse some of the elements into their wedding day and The Gardens at Elm Bank was the perfect venue for a classic, timeless vibe.
Speaking of classic and timeless, Stacy wore a gorgeous Allure Bridals lace gown from Ve’Lace Bridal located in Bellingham, MA. It was classically, elegant and Stacy was simply lovely.
The day started at a local hotel with a few candid getting ready pictures before heading to the church where Stacy would complete her getting ready.
One of her somethings borrowed, blue, and new were two dimes. One had the year in which they met, 2012, and the other had the year that they are now married, 2018. Isn’t that sweet?! LOVE!!
The ceremony was held at St. John the Evangelist and is also where the lovely bride got into her gown. One sun-filled window was all that I needed to capture some of the most beautiful moments between Stacy and her mom and of the glowing bride alone minutes before the ceremony.
Nathan had the most endearing smile on his face as Stacy walked down the aisle with her dad as they were seeing each other for the first time.
That first date when they met in the big city of NYC over five years ago and talked for hours closing down the restaurant cultivated into this beautiful day and even more, a beautiful relationship where a new journey would begin.
After the ceremony, we traveled back to the Gardens at Elm Bank for family, bridal party photos, and photos of the bride and groom.
The Carriage House was warmly decorated with settings of peony arrangements, tea lights, and favors.
Laughter along with the warmest hugs and smiles filled the room. Those smiles were even warmer as Stacy and Nathan shared their first dance, to Ingrid Michaelson’s “The Way I Am”.
Another moment that I have to mention is Stacy’s love and thoughtfulness extended to share her father, daughter dance with her sister. LOVE!!!
The night ensued with dancing, hugs, sweet conversations, and an unexpected remake of a high school talent show performance by Nathan’s friends. It makes me laugh to see Stacy’s reaction and Nathan’s indelible laughter as his friends surrounded him on the dance floor.
Stacy and Nathan, thank you immensely for the honor to get to know you and be part of one of the most special days of your life. Stacy, I will never forget and will always hold dear to my heart your inviting me to come along for your dress fitting and bringing me a delicious red velvet cupcake. Thank you. I’m so happy for you two and I will always be cheering you on!! Enjoy your honeymoon!! xo, Shawon
