It’s Tuesday, and I’m so happy to share many, many favorite moments from Melissa and Matt’s Kirkbrae Country Club wedding photos.
The humidity has been breathtakingly tough these past few weeks, but on Friday, the only thing breathtaking was Melissa and you can see it in Matt’s eyes. So a little about them before you smile through their Kirkbrae Country Club wedding photos like I did 🙂
For starters, Melissa and Matt’s smile and laughter alone will make you, yes, you guessed it smile and laugh too.
I don’t even think they have to say anything to each other to make the other person smile and burst into belly laughs.
They are both fun and funny. Their funny character is actually one of the things that they both love about each other.
They are also the kindest and most thoughtful. You would not believe that Melissa wanted me to text her once I made it home on the night of HER wedding. I told her absolutely not. Isn’t that the sweetest!!
They have the biggest hearts and it was such a joy to be with them on their wedding day. We had the best time at their engagement session last year and their wedding day was absolutely beautiful.
When Matt proposed to Melissa last year, all of their family was gathered at their new home for a house-warming and to celebrate a college graduation milestone for Melissa. As they said their vows and exchanged rings, starting a new journey together, their family and friends were all gathered and even more joined the celebration at Kirkbrae.
The day started with them both getting ready and not seeing each other until Melissa would walk down the aisle.
There would be laughter almost the entire time as the bridesmaids helped Melissa with getting into her gorgeous gown and heading outside for some photos.
We were able to photograph all of the separate wedding party photos at the beginning of the day, along with a few family photos, and only have a few entire group wedding party photos after the ceremony. Making the best use of time on a wedding day is essential, and the wedding party was able to enjoy some of the cocktail hour.
The ceremony was held at St. John of God Church in Somerset, MA followed by their reception at Kirkbrae Country Club.
This was my third time photographing at this venue, and the gardens are always perfect any season for Kirkbrae Country Club wedding photos.
Tiffany and the entire staff there are simply amazing. Melissa and Matt were overwhelmed when they walked into their gorgeously warm and welcoming reception room. Although the decor was stunning, the one space that meant the most was their memorial table remembering loved ones.
Their sweetheart table was draped in beautiful gold linens from Felicia’s Perfect Setting, and the guest tables were dressed elegantly with high and low flower centerpieces.
I LOVE that they made a canvas of one of their photos from their engagement session that their family and friends were able to leave them sweet words. They get to see sweet words from their wedding day every day hanging in their home. LOVE!!
Melissa and Matt, you two are the best and I’m so thankful to have gotten to know you both over this last year. It was an honor and a joy to be with you on your wedding day. I am so happy for you and that you get to spend your lives together with your best friend and Luna:) Sending hugs your way!! xo, Shawon
