Last week I had the wonderful pleasure of photographing Melissa and Matt’s Newport Rhode Island engagement photos, and today I get to share a sneak peek.

Melissa and Matt are two of the sweetest and let me not forget about their cuuuttteee chocolate lab Luna. This engagement season has been filled with puppy adorableness!! I’m loving the cute sign that they brought for Luna to wear, and I had to do a quick search on Etsy to see if I could find one for all of my couples with puppies that are getting married soon. Here is a similar sign!

Melissa and Matt’s paths would cross as they were hanging out and spending time with cousins who were dating. Little did they know that they would end up dating and falling in love.

Matt proposed to Melissa this year as all of their family was gathered at their new home for a house-warming and to celebrate a college graduation milestone for Melissa. Matt figured that this would be a great time to pop the big question, and Melissa said yes.

They love hiking, seeing new things, being outdoors, mini-golf, and of course, Luna is high on the list too.

We started their Newport Rhode Island engagement photos session at Newport’s Cliffwalk to get Luna in at least one photo which was a great success.

I love that we were able to include the Cliffwalk and then head down to the beach to give them two different looks and choices for their save-the-dates.

It’s always best to have a beach session either right before sunrise or before sunset when the lighting is optimal. The weather could not have been more perfect, and the light was delightful.
