Well before the clouds rolled away and the sunlight began to fill the sky, there was a sense all around that this was going to be a beautiful wedding day for this sweet, fun, loving couple and their family. When I arrived for this love filled Plymouth Massachusetts wedding, preparation was well underway with transforming the grounds of the family’s private lake house property for a full day of wedding festivities enriched with Jewish wedding traditions. The Great Herring Pond would add an additional ambiance with the reflection of the warm summer sun shining off the water as the backdrop to the ceremony. I know that many hearts were full and cheeks were hurting from smiling by the end of the day. There were so many countless wonderful moments of celebration, and it was an honor to photograph this family celebrating and to witness a day rich with Jewish wedding traditions and an adorable couple as they began their new life together united as husband and wife. I promise that you will have a smile on your face, and want to cheer them on as well! Here are a few favorites from their day!
The lake house was such an important part of their day, and the light pouring in to the loft was beautiful on the bride’s gorgeous gown.
This beautiful smile on the bride’s face is a true expression of joy as they see each other for their first look.
There were many, many special moments to capture at the bedeken ceremony, as David veiled his bride. Everyone was undeniably happy for them.
The bride’s reception was lively and filled with dancing and celebration with her family and friends before the veiling, or bedeken, ceremony began.
The chuppah was stunning, and the accents of sunflowers were quite lovely.
As we go throughout the day, I always encourage couples to just have a moment to take it all in because the day goes by so quickly. After the ceremony was over, they shared some time together to truly live in the moment and reflect on the fact that they were now husband and wife. When they were ready, we took a few more portraits of them together now as newlyweds. We started with some quiet portraits of them.
Great Herring Pond Lake was the backdrop for the wedding ceremony, and I was so glad that we had time to make some creative wedding day pictures like this silhouette on the dock.
