It was a gorgeous Friday afternoon when Sam and David said ‘I,do’ surrounded by their family and friends at their Residence Inn Tudor Wharf wedding. We started the day at the Royal Sonesta hotel where both the bride and groom got ready. This was perfect because it allowed me time to photograph both the bride and groom getting ready at the same location. Although I spent most of the time with the bride in her suite, I had a few moments with the groom as well and to prepare him for their first look nearby. Their first look makes me smile every time I look back at their day as Sam’s reaction was priceless. She was so sweet as she tiptoed near David and tapped him on the shoulder. Just wait until you see their expressions!
After the first look, we drove over to the Residence Inn Tudor Wharf that is located near the Harborwalk in Charleston for their wedding. The views of the Boston Harbor were absolutely stunning, and the day could not have been more perfect. Sam was beaming as she walked down the aisle. I loved that they were outside on the pier as passersby glimpsed in at their ceremony. We gathered the family on the pier following the ceremony for family formals. It is always a joy to see parents, aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends all there to celebrate with the bride and groom. Because Sam and David would be relocating soon, they wanted to head out to a few of their favorite places in Boston for some of their wedding day pictures. It was an honor to spend time with them two as we hopped out of their limo to take pictures in a few of their favorite Boston locations. Our first stop was to a local park to take some new family pictures that included the newlyweds and their cute pup. When their puppy first saw Sam, he didn’t know how to respond because she looked a little different all dressed up in her beautiful wedding gown. I knew that was important for them to include their adorable pup on their wedding day, and I’m so glad that we made that stop. The sunlight was stunning, and I took a few portraits of the bride alone in the warm afternoon light. We then headed into the city and strolled around for more wedding photos at the Rowes Wharf Hotel in Boston and out on the pier.
The night ended as they headed into the Capital Grille for an evening of dinner with their family and friends. It was such a pleasure to be a part of their day and make beautiful images that they will cherish forever in the city where their love began. Here are a few favorites from their day.
