This Rhode Island wedding photographer packed her gear, and headed to the beautiful state of Illinois for a gorgeous farm wedding this summer.  My first time traveling out of state to photograph a wedding, and my first time to Chicago all wrapped up in one, equals an awesome weekend.  The love and warmth of family and friends surrounding this couple was adoring in every way.  All hands were on deck to celebrate on the family’s private farm in Illinois that were filled with the most beautiful flower gardens.  Most of the flowers used for this chic farm wedding were handpicked from gardens planted generations ago.  We began the day with the bride getting ready and heading off for the first look.  The anticipation of waiting for a touch on her shoulder from her soon to be husband still makes me laugh in a “aww, she loves him so much” kind of way.  After the first look, there was time for a few bridal party portraits and then the ceremony began.  After the “I, dos” the day was followed with formal portraits, lots of dancing, pie, and a gorgeous Illinois sunset.  Here are some  favorites from this beautiful summer farm wedding in Illinois that this Rhode Island wedding photographer was honored to capture.
