It’s Tuesday, and I’m excited to share a few heartwarming moments from Marlice and Delasie’s Saphire Estate wedding photos this past weekend.
Almost one year ago, while on a trip to Puerto Rico, Delasie asked Marlice to marry him, and on Sunday they said I do.
Their intimate Saphire Estate wedding photos are filled with celebration, tears, and hugs shared with grandparents and their closest family and friends, and joy as they hit the dance floor to complete the day.
I can always notice the shift in the day as emotions of the bride and groom shift from, this is the day it’s happening to oh my gosh (OMG) it’s really happening. This moment happened for Marlice the moment she stepped into her wedding gown. It was hard for her and everyone around her to hold back the tears. She was a stunningly, beautiful bride.
Their outdoor ceremony began shortly before sunset. There was a cider station complete with cinnamon sticks so that guests could have something warm as there was a gentle chill in the air.
The ceremony celebrated their relationship and strong family roots. There was also laughter as the officiant shared one of their first dates at Arnold Arboretum when Marlice was a sweet 19 and rocking her Miley Cyrus t-shirt and pigtails. Smiles were on everyone’s face.
Another beautiful moment of their day was their first dance. They sweetly danced to John Legend’s “I love, You Love”. It was such a beautiful time with the warmest embraces.
As they swayed, their family and friends swayed along with them as they have witnessed their beautiful relationship blossom over the last eight years.
Everyone was genuinely happy for them and it could be felt throughout the room.
Marlice and Delasie, it was truly an honor to be part of your day! Delasie, I am officially giving you credit for inspiration during our last round of portrait time!! Sending big hugs and another huge congratulations your way!! xo, Shawon
