Laura and Nick’s summer Zukas Hilltop Barn Wedding was filled with all things family, love, and fun.  There were more high fives than I can count to celebrate these two beautiful people.  When I met Laura and Nick for their engagement session last fall in Boston, I knew that their wedding day was going to be beautiful.  They were surrounded by their family that adored them and friends that they had known forever and loved them dearly.

The day started with the girls getting ready at Laura’s childhood home.  Her dad was the sweetest and shared with me that he’d met Laura’s mom at a photography class.  He had the most gentle spirit, and he was a very proud father giving his daughter away to Nick who was just as gentle and loving as he was.

There were toasts, tears and lots of laughter as the bridesmaids helped Laura prepare for one of the most special days of her life.

Summer Zukas Hilltop Barn Wedding Photos

Each of Laura’s bridesmaids had a special role in helping her get dressed.

After getting into her gorgeous gowns, Laura’s dad came upstairs for a first look with his beautiful daughter.  I loved this moment!

Before heading to the ceremony, we had some time for a few pictures with Laura and her lovely bridesmaids.  These ladies kept her laughing all day long.

The wedding ceremony was held at First Congregational Church in Paxton, MA.  Laura’s expression is priceless as she and Nick see each other for the first time as she’s walking down the aisle with her dad.

Laura’s mom passed away over two years ago, and the readings given in honor of her were especially moving.

The high fives began as Nick and Laura made their way back down the aisle as husband wife.

I love it when this happens during family formals or any portrait time throughout the wedding day.  Camera aware photos are nice, but when those in between authentic moments happen, they’re priceless.

It was hot, hot, hot outside, and these guys were troopers.  

This bridge was a special place for Laura’s parents, and it was so important to them to have a photo as well on this same bridge.  Love!!

These two were absolutely delightful together, and the beautiful, warm sun at Zukas enhanced the warmth between them.  We spent some time making a few pictures before they went to have a moment alone prior to the start of their reception.

The night would end celebrating and dancing under a beautiful tent with their family and friends.  Here’s to the start of a new journey together!! Congratulations, Laura and Nick!! What an honor to be part of your wedding day!
