Change is stepping out into the unknown

I’m a ball of adjectives in trying to describe my emotions about finally making the decision to change my business name to Shawon Davis Photography.  This decision has been pondered for two years!  I know I’ve been waiting a long time.  Over these two years, I’ve read a host of mixed reviews of whether or not it’s a good decision for your business, considered the rebuilding of search engine optimization for a small business, and  the daunting list of everything that it would take to make this change was like a things to do list that never ended.

Well, I decided to take courage, to step out into the unknown, and make the change. Yes, I’ve had some late nights and early mornings, but it feels incredibly freeing.  My to do list is getting checked off with one thing at a time. I might even need to write a note to Facebook saying thank you for an almost effortless process of changing one name to the other.

Thank you so much for your lovely comments, thoughts, and likes for this new season…this change that is good.  My commitment as an artist, as a photographer remains the same…serving you well and building relationships. You allow me to know who you are.  You share your wedding days with me.  You allow me to feel and be a part of your family.  You let me in, and that is the only way that I’m able to do what I do.

So, here’s to a new season!
