It’s been a joy getting to know Jen and Kyle over the past year, and it was an honor to photograph their Grand View wedding this past weekend. These two are absolute sunshine together and their joy indelible.
Their day was timeless, classic, with hints of sparkle and glam and filled with sweet moments, tears, laughter, warm hugs, and the best smiles.
Over three years ago, while out for a night of fun and games with their friends at Dave and Busters, these two beautiful people met. They were shooting hoops beside each other when Kyle’s ball mistakenly hit Jen in the head. She still laughs about it and says that it was the hit she needed to fall in love with him.
They returned to Dave and Busters for their first date, and that date led to many others and soon a blossoming relationship.
Together they’ve had the most beautiful journey spending time with each other, their families, their friends, cheering for the Bruins, bowling, taking trips to Disney-one of their most favorite places ever, and loving their sweet pup-Diddy!
This weekend, they said yes and I do to continue their beautiful journey that began over four years ago.
Getting Ready at the Chalet
Grand View is a gorgeous wedding venue located in Mendon, MA. The grounds are gorgeous, and the views amazing. Jen and Kyle were in love with the venue the moment they spotted it overlooking the water from one of their favorite restaurants-Alicante.
We started their day with Jen and the bridesmaids getting ready at the Chalet also located on the property. After some candid moments, and getting Jen into her stunning dress, we headed outside for the sweetest first look with her and her dad. LOVE!!
Bride and Groom First Look
After that moment, Jen was tucked away before seeing Kyle for their first look. They were both so excited, and with each passing moment, to know that it was their wedding day became so surreal.
I know that I’ve said it already, but these two are sunshine together!!
I’m so happy that we were able to complete all of their photos including the wedding party and family photos before the ceremony to not only get them to cocktail hour to enjoy their cheese station but also because we had a passing shower to come our way just after they said I do.
Reception Decor
The ballroom was beautifully decorated with flowers from the amazingly talented Kim and Katy with Katydid Flowers. Some glam and sparkle were elegantly used throughout the decor with sequined linens, candle votives, and table numbers.
With the most amazing cheers, they entered into the ballroom and danced their first dance to NSYNC’s God Must Have Spent a Little More Time with You.
Jen and Kyle, it has been an absolute joy getting to know you both. From your first email, to Jen and I talking over an hour on our first call, I knew that you two were special and that your day was going to be beautiful. Thank you for the honor to be part of your day. Enjoy every moment of your honeymoon. It’s going to be an even happier place because you two are there! Sending big hugs to you both! xo, Shawon
