I had the pleasure of working with Cath Carrara for a second time for brand photos.

Cath is a seasoned real estate professional. She helps her clients buy and sell homes in Franklin, MA, and surrounding areas.

We were able to capture some great shots that really capture her personality and business style.

It’s important to have a clear vision for your photoshoot. We planned photos for Cath’s website, social media platforms, and marketing materials for her shoot.

Start your planning details with questions related to your small business 

What do you want your photos to say about your business? What feeling do you want to convey? Once you have a clear vision, it’s time to start planning the details.

Stand out with your brand personality

Every brand has a story, and your photoshoot should reflect that story. That’s why putting some thought into styling your brand photoshoot is important.  

What kind of message do you want to send? Who is your target audience? What feeling do you want to evoke? How can you best represent your brand visually?

You can use brand colors and brand personality as your guide! First, consider what colors represent your brand. Is it one main color or a palette?

What do those colors say about your brand? Maybe you want to go for a clean and classic look with black, white, and neutrals.

Or perhaps you want something more fun and lively with bright hues. Once you have an idea of the colors you want to use, start planning how to incorporate them into your outfits.

You can use color blocking to create contrast or go for a monochromatic look to show cohesion.

And don’t forget accessories! They are a great way to add pops of color or make a statement.

But above all, make sure your clothing choices represent your brand’s personality.

Are you approachable and friendly? Edgy and cool? Upscale and luxurious? Keep these things in mind when putting together your photoshoot looks and let your brand shine through!

Styling my clients for their brand session is a part of the studio process. I meet with all of my clients in advance of their photoshoot to plan and style their wardrobes.

The goal is to create a cohesive look that represents your brand and who you are. 

With a little planning, you can make sure your brand photo shoot is a success!

For Cath’s branding session, we planned for her to bring props like the marketing materials that she shares with her clients.  I styled them in one of our desk setup options and created new images she could use for marketing and social media.

Small business owners, one of the most important things to do when planning a brand photoshoot is to communicate your goals for your session up front so that everyone is on the same page. This will help ensure that the session goes smoothly and that you get the photos you need.

During your initial consultation or planning stage, be sure to let your photographer know what types of photos you are looking for.
