Peonies and a host of other beautiful flowers were in full bloom for Caroline and Nick’s Moraine Farm wedding. Caroline has the most infectious smile that just lights up the entire room. She is such a sweetheart! Nick has such a kind and gentle personality. The two of them together had me saying a lot of “awwws” behind the camera. They are seriously that lovely together! You know that Caroline is someone extra special when your best man flies out for the engagement proposal!!! Love!!!
Here are a few photos to enjoy from their sweet Moraine Farm wedding day.
I’m often asked if I have any favorite Boston wedding venues, and the Estate at Moraine Farm is now on my favorites list. The gardens alone were spectacular. I shared some behind the scenes of preparation on my Snapchat @shawondavis for the first look and using the garden area in particular. Although it was a cloudy day, I was able to use the available light softened by the clouds to make some beautiful portraits for Caroline and Nick in the garden. The venue is nestled among mature trees and a view of Wenham Lake is perfect for guests to enjoy as they mingle during cocktail hour.
Amy and Janelle, along with the entire staff, did a fantastic job making sure that the day went off without a hitch. The ceremony was held outside on the lawn adjacent to the Tea Room and gardens. Caroline and Nick had a beautiful Jewish wedding ceremony, and the Chuppah was decorated elegantly near the lake.
Moraine Farm Wedding Photos
We started the day in the bridal suite with Caroline and her bridesmaids getting ready and final touches. A photo of the bride looking at her dress one final time before putting it on has become one of my favorites moments to capture. I’m not there to capture pictures when a bride says yes to the dress, but I imagine that she is filled with the same emotions on her wedding day when seeing her gown right before putting it on.
I love this! Doesn’t it make you smile!
Their Ketubah that they will later sign and will hang in their home.
On her way to see Nick for the first time on their wedding day. He was tucked away in the gardens and waiting for her gentle tap on his shoulder.
Their wedding party was also with them in the distance for their first look to share in this special time.
A moment to bring them joy every day!
Aren’t these the prettiest lilac bridesmaids dresses. Pastels and greys have certainly been a favorite for brides this wedding season. I think the pastel color palette will never go out of style.
After the first look and bridal party photos we headed back inside for the Ketubah signing.
Such an honest and real moment.
The ceremony and reception were both held at the same venue. This beautiful white tent was directly across from the ceremony location and convenient for guests to walk over from cocktail and prepare for the reception.
First dance together as husband and wife!
Not even a little drizzle could dampen their day. It made them smile brighter, hold each other closer, and look forward to their new journey together bound by love. It was such an honor to photograph this sweet couple and be a part of their day!
