This past weekend, I had the pleasure of spending a snowy afternoon with Alyssa and Dave for their snowy Boston Public Gardens engagement session. You’d never know that it was freezing out because their warm smiles never left their faces. I’m so excited to share a few favorites from their session and more about their story.

Alyssa and Dave met two years ago for dinner at what has now become their favorite restaurant hands-down.

That dinner date lasted five and a half hours with never an awkward silence between them. They both left knowing that they were meant to be.

Alyssa said she told her mom, yup, I’m marrying him!

I think we can call that love at first sight, but for them, it would have been married at first sight, but they didn’t want to scare their families.

When I asked them how did they both leave their first date knowing that they’d found the one, Dave described it has inexplicable and that is what makes their love story even more special!

Their snowy Boston Public Gardens Engagement session photos will forever be special because they also chose the location where Dave proposed and Alyssa said yes!

On the afternoon of their engagement session, ice skaters and hockey players enjoyed the frozen pond, visitors shuffled in and out throughout the gardens, snow flurries fell and they had
the best smiles on their faces the entire time.

We ended their engagement session just before a mix of rain and snow began to fall amongst the beautiful lights that line Commonwealth Ave. with leading lines that made for a great composition. I think that photo might be the favorite for their Save-the-Dates.

Alyssa and Dave, I had the best time with you two and I can’t wait to celebrate with you in August-YAY! The weather will be a bit different, but I know those warm smiles on your faces will be present all day! I’m so happy for you two!! xo, Shawon
