Dear New Business Owner, 

Many entrepreneurs and small business owners are doing this one thing all wrong and I when I first started my business, I was in the same boat. They are focused on creating a website and a new logo, choosing fonts and colors instead of the one thing that can actually start making an impact in their business. 

Unfortunately, this means that most people are wasting time and money on the wrong things. Don’t get me wrong, those things are important, but when you

When you’re first starting out, focus on these things first to get your brand messaging clear. 

  1. Clarity on who you are serving and what they want.
  2. What problem are you solving for them?
  3. What is the solution that you offer? 

I know the feeling of wanting to skip to “the fun part” of choosing a website and the font and our fancy logo.

Having this foundation at the beginning makes everything so much easier as you take steps towards growing your brand and your business. 

When you know who you’re serving, you can show up online and talk to that person over and over. You’ll never run out of things to say to them because you know who they are and what they want. You can show them how you can be their guide in the product or service that you offer in order to make them the hero.

Take it from me, start here. I’m a huge fan of Donald Miller’s Storybrand, and I wish I would have had this framework when I first started my business. I had the puzzle pieces of building my business and brand, but I didn’t know how to connect them and apply them both visually and in my messaging. Most importantly, I didn’t know where to start. 

Starting here would have saved me time, money and frustration.
