5 Business Tools I Can’t Live Without
High-Impact Resources to Elevate Your Brand
Since starting my photography business in 2011, I’ve realized the power and importance of having great systems in place.
While there are thousands of business and branding tools available in the world, having the right tools to keep business running as smoothly and efficiently as possible is absolutely invaluable.
So today, I’m sharing five tools that I use every single day in my business to help me maximize my productivity, uplevel my client experience, and elevate my brand.

1. Honeybook
Honeybook is an all-in-one client management system that has taken my workflow and client experience to another level. With a little bit of initial assistance from the Honeybook team, I’ve been able to set up:
- Workflows for my coaching and branding clients
- Email templates
- Fillable, signable contracts
- Invoices
- …and more!
… All in one easy-to-use, beautiful platform.
Each day, I can login and get a quick picture of where all my in-progress projects are and what tasks I need to complete. I can also review reports, communicate with clients, respond to inquiries … and the list goes on!
One of the things I love most about Honeybook is that it makes automation a breeze. By creating automated workflows in Honeybook, I save myself a TON of time and mental space, which I can then use towards higher-level, CEO work in my business.
Plus, Honeybook integrates with many of the other apps I use seamlessly!

2. Calendly
Let me be clear: I don’t know how I ever lived without Calendly.
This simple scheduling tool allows me to easily create events for initial consultations, wardrobe consultations, session dates, reveal sessions, and more … without EVER having to worry that I’m going to miss an important appointment.
Prior to using Calendly, I spent so much time going back and forth with clients to schedule appointments and sessions. Now, I can simply send them my Calendly link and they can select a time from my calendar that works best for them.
When a client schedules a new appointment, I instantly receive an email. From there, I add to my calendar. Calendly syncs with your Google Calendar (and many other calendar apps) to help you avoid double booking or over-extending yourself.
Another Calendly feature that I absolutely love is that they’ll send text or email reminders to my clients to remind them of their upcoming appointment. This means fewer missed appointments and less wasted time for both my clients and myself.
Calendly also offers a wide variety of other features—I’ve really only scratched the surface.

3. Davey & Krista Website
Your website is your home on the internet. It’s where people look first to find information about who you are and what you do. So it goes without saying that having a beautiful, effective website that prospective clients can navigate easily is essential.
But that doesn’t mean you have to spend $10,000 having a custom site created, only to end up needing to hire a developer every time you need to make changes.
Davey and Krista offer breathtaking, professional website templates that elevate your client experience and help you solidify your brand. They’ve been a favorite of mine for a few years now, and I actually just launched my new website using one of their templates this past August.

4. Canva
Raise your hand If you have zero graphic design skills.! Both of my hands are raised.
Canva is a lifesaving tool that allows non-designer entrepreneurs (like myself) to design gorgeous assets. Personally, I’ve used Canva to create lead generators, presentation slides for workshops, PDFs, social media graphics, and much more.
I also use Canva to store all my branding elements in one place. Their workspace allows me to keep my logos, color palettes, etc. organized and makes it easy to design branded assets in just a few minutes.
Canva offers templates to help you get started, but free-hand designing in Canva couldn’t be easier if that’s your thing. They also offer both a free and paid version, so you can try before you buy!

5. Creative Market
Powered by Creative Market
I’ve been using Creative Market for about six years, and every year, I think I love them a little more. Prior to Canva, they were my go-to for all my design needs. But even now that I have Canva, I still turn to them for design help once in a while, and I’m never disappointed.
Creative Market is full of amazing designers who offer products from marketing collateral to fonts, magazines, graphics, product mockups and more.
I have personally purchased fonts, canva templates for lead generators, social media, and website mockups.
Designs are available for Photoshop, Indesign, Canva, and others so make sure that you choose the correct file type when purchasing a product.
