When it comes to elevating your brand and growing your business in 2021, one thing’s for sure… Video is king. Great video content can help you not only build a stronger brand, but increase your overall brand awareness more than almost any other type of content.

But if you’re like many business owners, you may be wondering… How can you get started with video? What kind of content should you create, where should you share it, and how will creating video content help you grow?

So today, I wanted to share with you 5 ways you can start using video to grow your business today.

 

5 Ways to Use Video to Grow Your Business

  1. Using Video On Social Media

    If you’ve been in business for more than a few weeks, you’ve undoubtedly heard about the ‘Know, Like, Trust Factor’. If you haven’t, here’s the gist: Basic marketing principles show that consumers only buy from brands that they know, like, and trust.

    This is what makes social media so powerful! Social media is a fantastic way to connect with your audience on a deeper, more human level—which makes them far more likely to buy from you in the long run. And right now, using video content on social media is the BEST way to nurture your audience.

    Building Your “Know” Factor
    Educational and instructional videos are a great way to help your audience learn who you are, what you do, and how you can help them. Share how-tos or stories about how your brand can provide the solution they’ve been looking for. This positions you as the ‘expert’ on your particular topic—so when they’re ready to hire help, they’ll know exactly who to turn to.

    Building Your “Like” Factor
    Use Instagram Stories to share snippets of your daily life with your audience. I’ve personally used mine to walk my audience through everything from planning out my day, to shopping for kitchen lights, to putting up Christmas decorations. It doesn’t have to be fancy—the goal here is to let your followers get to know the person behind the brand.

    Building Your “Trust” Factor
    Cultivate trust by sharing behind-the-scenes or process videos. Show off clips of you working with your clients. Share a plan that you recently implemented to help a client get better results. Better yet, have your client share a video of their experience on their own Instagram story and tag you! Then, be sure to share their video testimonial to your own story so your audience can see how much your clients love working with you.
  2.  Using Video to Nurture Your Email List
    Video is a great way to showcase the face and voice behind the brand in your emails! Even sending out a quick greeting can make a huge impact on your email list.
    For example, you could create a video that follows a format like this: “Hi! This is ____ and I wanted to pop in this week to say hello and share some ideas about _____.” Spend 30 seconds talking about a tool, method, system, recipe, etc. that you love, and voila! You just created an email that will set you apart from the dozens of other emails your audience might open on a daily basis.
  3. Use Video to Build Your Team’s SOPs
    Are you working towards building a team to support your business? If so, start using video NOW to create ‘training videos’ that detail all your basic systems and processes. This will save you time and money in the long-run because your future team members can reference these videos to easily understand and implement your standard operating procedures.
  4.  Use Video to Share Your Favorite Tools
    Do you ever share your favorite business tools with clients? Video is a great way to take this sharing one step further and actually TRAIN your clients on this new tool! Simply create a video showing off the tool—then save the video so you can easily reshare and add extra value for future clients who might benefit from the same instructional video.
  5. Use Video to Elevate Your Brand’s Client Experience
    Video is one of the easiest and highest impact ways to elevate your client’s experience. If you’re looking to rehaul your client onboarding process, adding a simple welcome video to the beginning of your workflow can provide a special, personal touch.
